We all know how powerful the BMW 7 Series is. Well it got even more powerful all thanks to the guys at Tuningwerk who decided to tamper with it a little. Now this “small” frankensteinish car can develop 720 horsepower and 1090 Nm of torque (804 lb-ft).

Every car that holds a German label on it is guaranteed to have an almost perfect balance of power and luxury. The people at Tuningwerk have just altered that balance a bit, just because the M variant for the 7 Series is still lacking. What came out of their hands is a genuine monster, more fit for a battlefield than the city streets.

The car has been named NR7 and has an impressive weight of over 2 tonnes. Considering this saloon is not exactly lightweight, it is impressive it can go from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. The top speed is capped at 350 km/h, nearly 220 mph. All of this possible thanks to the 720 horsepower and 1090 Nm pumped by the engine. For brakes they used carbo-ceramic materials and an exhaust port with reduced mass, as well as a carbon fibre exterior kit, all in order to defeat the larger weight of the vehicle. This version costs 198,000 Euros.

A not so enhanced version exists that goes for 170,000 Euros. This one develops about 530 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque (545 lb-ft) and only reaches 310 km/h (192 mph), and only has steel disk brakes. So until BMW decides to go official with something better than the NR7, customers will have to settle for what Tuningwerk has developed.
