London 2012 Olympics Mini car
Knocking Olympic Games at door has revealed many businesses around London and Mini, voted the second most influential car of the 20th century, has designed two limited-editions Coopers, namely the Mini Baker Street and the Mini Bayswater, in a distinguished style symbolizing the great event and the city as well.
Base cooper is being used for the first type Cooper whereas Bayswater can be found with Cooper or Cooper S supports. The name of the first package, The Baker Street, came from the fictional Sherlock Holmes’s living place, having gray paint along with black hood stripes that prolong out in a “V” shape. Gloss black paint is used for the twin-spoke, 16-inch long wheels which matches with exterior mirror caps. As exterior color one can also pick from Peppermint white and midnight black. The lettering “Baker Street” stands by the side markers.
The interior is refashioned with additional gray, while diamond outline is used as the seats. Light-gray contrast embroidery is being used in gearshift, floor mats and handbrake. Door sills bear the “Baker Street” inscription.
The Mini comprises with the Pepper Package, which sums air conditioning, a computer onboard, a fleece steering wheel, the chrome package, fog lights and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The standard 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of delivering 121 hp and 114 ib-ft of torque provides power.
The kite blue metallic is being used for the customization of the Mini Bayswater. The 17’’ wheels contain light-alloy Sandblast along with high-gloss dark black faces and machined ends. Exterior of another two shades can be found in midnight black and eclipse grey. Likewise Baker Street, the racing stripes top and distinctive mirror frames has made the Baywater different from other Minis.
Blue contrast embroidery, leather seats, and piano neat inserts are placed onto inner-side. The automobile is also incorporated with chrome line package, stainless-steel pedals and Pepper pack.
Standard and S trim both, either with 121 hp or 181 hpis offered with the Bayswater. The standard one is a six-speed manual and the optional one is a six-speed automatic.
The nomenclature of the automobile comes from the name of an area placed in the middle of Knightsbridge and Notting hill in London. Renowned Hyde Park is nearby this place and oddly high density of nightclubs and bars are found here.
According to Mini, the production of this special editions will be limited but will be worldwide available. Information regarding pricing is not yet revealed.
