Volvo may decide to bring back the P1800 to life. In the 50th birthday of the famous P1800, Christopher Benjamin, Volvo's design director marked the celebration through introducing images for what a modern version of the car can be. The showed pictures showed the same elongated bonnet of the P1800, besides the rounded grille and sweeping outline, which managed to make the vehicle very distinctive.

It is important to mention that the P1800's design was first seen in the Brussels Motor Show in 1960, then Volvo coordinated with the British Jensen Motors to manufacture the first car, and the vehicle remained in product line till 1973. Yet, the P1800 was not manufactured since a long time, so when it comes back to the market, this will give it a unique value and attract a lot of classic car lovers.

We can describe the vehicle as a pure sports car with a unique classical touch, so both young and old drivers love it and are attracted to it. Yet, analysts criticized Volvo for living in the past, as the automaker is bringing a quite old model to the future, while other analysts believe that searching in the past is a good way to compete in the future, especially when we remember demand for the car in the 1960s.

It is not clear where the new vehicle will be manufactured, in case of working on the new design, but we expect Sweden to be the perfect place for a modern sports car like the P1800.
